The Global Drinker — World Bar Guide
The Union Trading Company Shanghai
Shanghai, China
Hengshan Road in Shanghai's Xuhui district holds The Union Trading Company, an American-style cocktail bar that has drawn a steady following since it opened. The bar built its reputation on a long run in Asia's 50 Best Bars, reaching ninth place in 2017, and it has continued to collect recognition from Tatler Best Bars and the DRiNK Awards. The room pairs a relaxed, neighborhood feel with a serious drinks programme and a kitchen that turns out American comfort plates.
